Case 1 – Use Of Could In Hindi

It is used to express Past Ability, Power and Capability यानी इसका प्रयोग किसी पुरानी योग्यता , ताकत और क्षमता बताने के लिए किया जाता है | Learning Use Of Could In Hindi is easy now.

पहचान –

वाक्य के अंत में ” सकता था, सकती थी, सकते थे ” आये |

Rules –

इनका नियम बनाना बेहद आसान है किसी भी वाक्य में जहाँ पर भी कोई भी सहायक क्रिया या लगाते हैं वही पर ‘ Can ‘ लग जाएगा |

जैसे –

Positive – S+ Could + V 1st + O.

Negative – S + could not + V 1st + O.

Interrogative – Could + S + V 1st + O ?

Interrogative Negative – Could + S + not + V 1st + O ?

Double Interrogative – Wh Word + Could + S + V 1st + O ?

Double Interrogative Negative – Wh Word + Could + S + not + V 1st + O ?

Use of could with Examples in Hindi –

• जब मै स्कूल में था तब मै अंग्रेजी बोल सकता था | – When I was in school, I could speak English.
• जब मै जवान था , मै बहुत तेज दौड़ सकता था | – When I was young, I could run very fast.
• ५ साल पहले तुम अंग्रेजी नहीं बोल सकता था | – You could not speak English 5 years before.
• जब मै जवान था , मै १०० किलो वजन उठा सकता था | – When I was young, I could lift 100 kgs of weight.
• २ साल पहले मै बिना चश्मे के पढ़ सकता था | – I could read without glasses 2 years ago.
• जब मै स्कूल में था , मै बहुत अच्छा गा सकता था | – When I was in school, I could sing very well.
• क्या ८ साल की उम्र में तुम गाड़ी चला सकते हो ? – Can you drive car at the age of 8 ?
• क्या बचपन में तुम बेअटक अंग्रेजी बोल सकते थे ? – Could you speak fluent English in the childhood ?
• जब तुम बच्चे थे, तुम ४ घंटे चिल्ला सकते थे | – When you were child, you could cry for 4 hours.
• मै ८ साल की उम्र में ४ भाषाएँ बोल सकता था | – I could speak 4 languages at the age of 8.

Case 2 – Use Of Could In Hindi

पहचान –

सका, सकी, सके, पाया , पाई , पाए | ऐसे वाक्य ज्यादातर नकारात्मक होते हैं |

जैसे –

हम समय पर नहीं आ सके / पाए | – We could not come on time or make it on time.

मै कल परीक्षा नहीं दे पाया / सका | – I could not take the examination yesterday.

मै आखिरी सवाल नहीं कर पाया | – I could not attempt the last question.

हम समय पर नहीं आ सके | – We could not come on time or make it on time.

माफ कीजिये , मै समय पर नहीं आ सका | – Sorry, I could not come on time.

मै उनकी मदद नहीं कर सका | – I could not help them.

पुलिस चोर को नहीं पकड़ पायी / सकी| – The police could not catch the thief.

वह मेरी सफलता पर अपनी ईर्ष्या नहीं छुपा सका | – He could not conceal his envy at my success.

वो पानी के बिना जीवित नहीं रह पाया | – He could not survive without water.

क्या तुम मेरी मदद के बिना यह कार्य कर पाए ? – Could you do this work without my help ?

क्या वो २ दिनों के लिए कंपनी को नहीं संभाल सका ? – Could he not manage the company for 2 days ?

उसका भाषण लोगों पर प्रभाव नहीं डाल सका | – His speech could not influence the audience.

डॉक्टर मरीज की जान नहीं बचा पाया | – The doctor could not save the patient.

Case 3- Use Of Could In Hindi

• Can – Friendly Conversation
• Could – Polite Conversation

‘ Can ‘ का प्रयोग मित्रतापूर्ण अनुमति लेने में होता है और ‘ Could ‘ का प्रयोग विनम्रतापूर्ण अनुमति लेने में होता है |

जैसे –

1. क्या मै आपका पेन ले सकता हूँ ?

• Can I have / take/ borrow your pen ? ( Informal Way ) – दोस्तों से या किसी से भी सामान्य तरीके से
• Could I have/ take/ borrow your pen, please ? ( Polite Way ) – बड़ों से या किसी से भी विनम्रतावूर्वक

2.क्या आप मेरी मदद कर सकते हैं ?

• Can you help me ? – दोस्तों से या किसी से भी सामान्य तरीके से
• Could you help me, please ? – बड़ों से या किसी से भी विनम्रतावूर्वक

3.क्या मै आपका छाता ले सकता हूँ ?

Can I borrow your umbrella ?

4.क्या मै तुमसे बात कर सकता हूँ ?

• Can I talk to you ? – ( Informal Way ) – दोस्तों से या किसी से भी सामान्य तरीके से
• Could I talk to you, please ? ( Polite Way ) – बड़ों से या किसी से भी विनम्रतावूर्वक

5.क्या मै २ दिनों से के लिए आपकी किताब ले सकता हूँ ?

• Can I borrow your book for 2 days ?

6.क्या मै कुछ देर यहाँ बैठ सकता हूँ ?

• Can I sit here for a while ?

7.क्या मै आपसे कुछ पूछ सकता हूँ ?

• Can I ask you something ?

8.क्या मै शर्मा जी से बात कर सकता हूँ ?

Case 4- Use Of Could In Hindi

‘ Could ‘ का प्रयोग कभी कभी वर्तमान या भविष्य की संभावना जताने के लिए भी करते हैं | ( Present Or Future Possibility )

पहचान :-

सकता है, सकती है, सकते हैं |

जैसे –

1. वर्षा हो सकती है |

• It could rain. ( More Possibility या अधिक सम्भावना )
• It may rain. ( Less Possibility या कम संभावना )
• It might rain. ( Very Less Possibility या बहुत कम संभावना )

2. वह चोर हो सकता है |

• He could be a thief . ( More Possibility या अधिक सम्भावना )

3.वह इस समय व्यस्त हो सकता है |

• He could be busy at this time.

4. वह घर पर हो सकती है |

• She could be at home.

5.यह खिलौना बम हो सकता है |

• This toy could be a bomb.

6.वह अपनी दुकान पर हो सकता है |

• He could be at his shop.

7. भारत मैच जीत सकता है |

• India could win the match.

8. किसी भी समय कुछ भी हो सकता है |

• Anything could happen at any time.
